CR-1020 + YP 800: a good fit?

hello Yammers!
after 1 year now it's time to find a friend for my CR-1020 receiver.
recently an ad for a Yamaha YP 800 appeared and I made an offer to the buyer, so in the next days I will visit the buyer to see and try the turntable.
how do you rate the couple?

It's as good as any other good turntable. T/Ts didn't put Yammy on the map.

I cant speak to quality but they sure look good together! So much so that if I had the opportunity I'd probably go after one to match my 1020.

I must admit that I'm looking more for the aestethical match than for the musical one!
I bought the CR just because I liked it and I use it for background music when we have guests.

As above...i dont know what they sound like but in terms of looks - WOW!

They make a nice couple for a couple of crazy kids from the 70's. It's probably a decent enough table, I've never had a chance to try one out.
