CR-2040 - Modern solution to add rear speakers?

Hi All - Just got one of my "two" CR-2040 back from a complete overall, cost $600 something, and wondering if there is a simple solution to ad a rear speaker setup? Not for everything, just my TV input. I have optical out from the TV to a small-cheap DAC that converts directly to RCA-female, then a short run into the Yamaha. I'd only use it for movies and such when using the TV though the Yamaha.

you could feed a line from the pre-out to a secondary amp to power the speakers or run them off a speaker b or buy a late 80s dsc decoder for the front and rear.
Truthfully I'd use it for 2ch hifi and just get a 5.1 amp at goodwill for $30. I just bought a rx-v990rfor $30 with remote.

Get an Adcom Gsp-560 . It has Left and right RCA inputs that decode to dolby Pro Logic. It has a three channel amp for center , left rear and right rear . It also has a subwoofer output . And a tape in and out for added flexibility .

eBay has many for sale. I had one when I first delved into surround sound . Worked great back then before digital came out.
