Does this mean that if I rip a bunch of cd's or illegally download a bunch of songs to a hard drive that I can sell it for $600 too. Some people.:twak:

[jancumps]

Click Prohibited?

[AAA3330]

Talk about breaking copyright laws.:screwy: It never ceases to amaze me what some people will do.

[John James]

Alert ASCAP?

[bobboogie]

...and he probably cloned his hard drive in the process. Crook.

Yeah, probably. Dunno if $600 is the right price though.

[Jimmy64]

I always click "Prohibited" on these clowns. Not sure CL ever
cares or removes them.

[usedto]

I somehow missed the line in the ad that said he stole the music. You guys must know something I don't.

[monkeykoder]

He'd be selling it for a lot more if they were legal. That's what at least $25,000 worth of music?

[AAA3330]

If any of the music is copyright protected, then I'm pretty sure that they would be breaking the law by trying to sell it. Since they posted the ad publicly, I would think that it would be likely that they don't even realize that they would be breaking the law by trying to sell it.

You can get a 1 TB hard drive from Newegg for $80, so their drive by itself wouldn't be worth more than that.

It had never crossed my mind before that someone might do something like this.

Probably would get ya a pretty hefty fine and/or jail time too.

[Fisherdude]

The ad's gone.

[similost]

It's really no different than selling stacks of reel tapes you recorded yourself without erasing them.

[Fisherdude]

The reason the ad is gone is because selling that music is a crime.
