I found these home brew speakers at Goodwill. The tweeters are missing. I did not buy them. Somebody put in some effort.

hmmm two woofers in each, i wonder what they would a had for the tweeters, unless the woofers were quality 79.99 seems a bit much but they do look.....different

Interesting, looks like they are using a woofer as a horn midrange with the back flow going to a passive radiator for extra bass.

i wonder how the bottom woofer can even move as there cant be much cabinet volume below it even if open into the pedestal, i wonder was the lower pedestal or the upper woofer chamber for that matter vented?

you think? it doesn't look like the lower woofer chamber is connected to the upper woofer chamber so not sure how it could act as a passive radiator.

my guess is the lower chamber is an active woofer in a sealed configuration and the upper woofer is possibly an active woofer as well in a vented configuration or vice verse.

Those look like JBL woofers which can be very expensive. Can you post the model number of the woofers?

+1 to that, especially that last pick. The edge of the basket is a bit hard to see but those cones and dustcaps certainly would have mew looking for more clues. For all the work done on the cabs, I'd certainly expect some quality drives inside.

$79.99 could be a steal

I did not buy these. The bottom woofer might be a JBL. It has a metal dust cover and a paper surround. The upper one looks like a cheap driver.

I might go take a second look at them. The design is very poor at best.

No, JBLs don't have metal dust caps, the top woofer looks like a JBL. You might have left a score behind.
