I'd definitely be open to doing that for sure... I love the idea of that..

I'll do some searching tomorrow but I've seen threads on repairing the tweeters on KEF 104s on others so it may be an option for you.

Ron AK member @Todd W repaired a pair of Infinity pollycell tweeters last year. May not be the same problem you have but it is worth a look.

Funny, I actually took the tweeter apart today, thinking I would add ferro fluid and see if that would work, I saw that the coil looks to be in great shape but there's no wires connecting to anything, I may be missing something here.... Also, not sure if these take ferro fluid as the edges of the tweeter are dry/clean....
