well I tried it and after 6 times I was still getting black gunk on the rag so I decided it was easier to just toss those tapes in the trash. Luckily I only had about 30 bucks in the 7" reels and I don't really like 7" reels anyways.
Nu Finish did work as the sticky tape came off the reel like it was suppose to. The other tapes stuck to itself so bad I only stripped 1 reel just because it was a black reel and seemed heavier then the usual plastic ones.
Nu Finish does remove old tape glue very well and my Teac stainless front is now nicely polished.
