custom cabinets?

Finally i got my computer back and working so here are a couple of pictures of the finished speakers.I should have cleaned some of the dust off before taking the pictures but if you can look past that you can see how they turned out.The sound of these with my Jolida 102 is every bit as good as my cornwalls with great imaging and the bass is very tight extended.I am very pleased with the look and sound from these and the project went very well with no problems.I wish the pictures were better but it is the best my camera will do.Thanks for looking.

Beautiful!!! Looks like your speaker building skills are better than your photography skills!

Love that style. What kind of finish did you put on them? Or did I miss that?

The cabinets are covered with a very high quality teak laminate.Building cabinets comes easy since it has been my profession for more than 25 years but my photography skills are less than stellar. These sound just like a cornwall but with tighter more extended low end.I was just listening to a DONALD FAGEN song MORPH THE CAT with these and my jolida jd102 b and the sound is just incredible.Building your own speakers is very rewarding and i would encourage more to try.If anyone wants to build their own i would be happy to help with questions on cabinet construction, laminate or veneer work or making grills.
