Back in the 70's an organist in a church where I was worshiping at playeed a messian piece at the end of a good friday service and som plaster from the walls of the old church started falling down! Quite frightning

Ah, the supremely powerful --even awesome (in the real sense of the word!)-- sound of the "king of instruments". Nothing else quite like it, this side of heaven or hell! :yes:



I have an occasional daydream dating back to younger years, of buying some old church/cathedral one day with a large organ in it, and converting it into a somewhat gothic home... where I'll spend my retirement wrenching renditions of Bach's Toccata and Fugue in D Minor out of it like some depraved horror-movie figure...

Weird, I know, but I had the chance to play (with) such an organ as a teenager, and there is only one organ that could possibly be more satisfying to play with... and that probably won't be more fun, by the time I'm ready for retirement. A real pipe organ "feeds the soul" like very little else can. :yes:
