I recently put this preamp back into my office setup and found the remote (the small blue one that looks like it goes on a keychain) to be non-functional.
Replaced the battery and the red light is now continuously on. Tried to use it and the preamp had a squealing electronic sound when turn on. Tried a few days later after the light started to dim and it actually worked, but only for about a day. After a couple more days the battery died.
Any ideas on finding a replacement? It appears to be an RF remote, so I'm hoping someone out there has figured out an aftermarket solution. There are lots of "general" (and even universal) RF remotes available online, but before I turned this into some kind of research project I figured I'd ask the experts.
I'd even be willing to buy another Dared remote, but can't get any response from them when I've tried to contact them.
