I'm not sure what a pair of non working TimeWindows are worth but these look like nice ones. Sequential ##s and original boxes.

For 20 bucks, I'd have a look. Those things are a royal PITA to get into and work on.

Dave

Yep, I have a set with a dead tweeter also.

You have to pull the sock off after you tap off the endcaps and then the drivers are glued in with some very nasty black adhesive.

They sound remarkable so they are worth the effort, but there's a whole lot more to this than pulling a grille and a couple screws...

Andy:

Do you have TimeWindow 1's or 1A's? It's my understanding that the endcaps on TW1's are glued in place.

Dave

I have 1A's now, but I thought it was 1s I had before,
There was a threaded rod that ran up the middle and was held by a nut on the bottom and they were pinned with dowels too.

I think; it's been a few years...

Andy:

If there was a threaded rod attached to the top plate that ran the length of the cab, you had TW3's!

they are, and the foam grille is too.

btw I recently sold a working pair of these in overall good condition (scratches), but without the grilles and I was only able to get $100 for them.

with dead tweeters and considering how much work is involved if it is an early time window, I'd say $20 sounds about right.
