Look like they are priced within the realm of reality... not sure I'd consider any of them (but perhaps the TW's) to be a steal. I wonder what the condition of the TW's is? The TF-1000's are definitely the cream of the bunch and priced as such....

....and NO you enabler, I've already got a set of TF-700's and I'm not going to go look at them next weekend! ;)

Those prices are steep, but I must say, in the last several years I've been browsing my local CL, I've yet to see a pair of Time Windows for sale. I've seen all the others minus I think the TF-1000. Actually, the Time Windows are probably the best buy of the bunch, even though they're steep too.

I got really lucky and got my Time Windows from a member here that even brought them to my house, for a mere $80, and they are in great shape to boot.

Definitely at the high end of pricing, even for mint.

I'm currently listening to CX-17s and consider them highly underrated. They are among my favorites, even though I have far pricier speakers. They're my computer speakers, so I listen to them while I browse.

Those prices are steep I think as well. BUT, if my wife was making me sell my toys. I'd price them high as well to discourage potential buyers!

Yep, I bought my TF700's for ~$200 and sold them for about the same. I, admittedly, got a helluva deal on my 1-owner TW3's and sold them for a decent profit. But even those, which are quite rare, were sold for well under his TF600 asking price to an AK member.

He started listing these maybe 9 months ago. It looks like he may have actually sold a pair or two.

I had a pair of 600's that I sold locally for $200. I think they are definitely $500 worth of speaker, but the demand is just not there.

If more people actually knew what those speakers were, they'd probably sell for those prices, but they don't.

Hush guys, I'm still trying to buy a pair of 700s and 1000s before the market wakes up ...
I just got Ohighway's little TF500s for side surrounds at the moment
but some big ones up front could help me simplify all this gear!

I paid $650 for my TF-700's brand new in 1986. No way should he be asking $600 for them now. That's why the ad is still up. I think the wife wants him to sell them and he really doesn't want to. "See, honey, nobody wants them."

Would you folks consider the 1000's over SDA-1A's? Don't mean to threadjack, but found a set of TM's for $250 listed in good working cond.

I love my SDA's though, haven't even recapped them yet..

I like the SDA's as well. Botrytis has a set and I have spent a few hours listening to them. I would say they are comparable to the TF-700 and TF-1000. Having said that, TF-1000's for $250 is a great deal!

There's been someone trying to sell a pair here on the SoCal CL for that price for a couple of weeks now. I also have a pair of the 1000's myself and have also owned the 700's. For whatever reason, to my ears the 600's outshine them both (They outshine the SDA's to my ears also...). There's just something about the multi tweeter design on the 600's that does it for me.
