Deleting pictures????

I tried posting a picture and got a message that I couldn't post it because it's already posted in another thread.

If that "other" thread is history, can I delete it from the old so I can use it in the new?

If so, how?

Go to the old thread, click advanced edit, go to manage attachments, and delete the picture. I think you can also just change the name of the 2nd pic.

Get the URL of the image from the old thread, and wrap it in IMG tags. Re-use it as many times as you like.

Just change the file name of your photo before you upload it.

Go to Attachments in the bottom of the left menu
Select your picture
Grab the URL
Use the insert picture feature or
use the IMG and /IMG tags typing them inside square brackets [ ] on each end of the pasted URL in your post.

this is the second pic I posted on AK that is still in my attachments list. Years old. Still using the unit.

The way I learned to do it was to copy the url of the old picture and then click on the "Insert Image" icon above and paste the url.... Same difference though.

Linking to the old picture is best. No need to delete it, it can appear in both messages. The other work-arounds just waste server space.
