Hi,

Anyone know anything about these Denon SC-510RC bookshelf speakers? I picked them up today from a thrift shop and am interested in any feedback.

Thanks!
Steve

I wonder if you'll get many responses, they are not easy to find information on.

They appear to use the cheap (but potentially good) Audax tweeter that was very popular circa late 80s with a woofer reminiscent of products from API companies such as Energy and Mirage. Apart from the poly woofer they look similar to the British JPW Sonata and old Mordaunt Short MS15. I know Sonatas were popular entry level speakers and I have MS15s which sound quite nice within reason. I'd expect your Denons could sound really good in a smallish room driven by quality components, the excellent transient response of the tweeter potentially giving good insight into the music but possibly lacking some 'refinement'.
