Rule Number One, never miss a chance to dogpile on a zombie posting!

Reissue a receiver that *looks* like a receiver, say the visual presentation of the MR85 but with the capabilities of the MAC4100.

Bring back the MPI4 or its moral equivalent; if people are buying your tuners, they'd probably love to hook 'em up and monitor their performance!

Reissue a compact set of basics - tuner, preamp, 50-75wpc amp like the 500s. Oh and howzabout include a fairly basic DAC that would match, to snag the 20somethings who have no idea what they're missing out on.

And of course there's my pet peeve - bring out a new version of the 275 without the cockamamie green LEDs in the sockets!!!! If you have to have status indicators, fine, put 'em on the end with the controls, but get 'em away from the proper orange glow of the filaments, please?

How about some old style McIntosh amplifiers like the MC 2100 and similar and a rack adapter and sell as MI products.

I made this comment a couple months ago and Ron C assured me McIntosh customers prefer the green lights.

I was tempted to ask him for supporting data, but was afraid it would be taken wrong.

Standard chassis width "box" with McIntosh Blue Meters, MC452 Size.

I could see that on pro consoles and in user listening rooms.

I'd like to see Mac bring Roger Russell back to make an updated version of the ML-1c without the current metal dome tweeters. Maybe an up dated version of his IDS speaker with more Dynamic capabilities, too.

I also agree Mac should produce a reissue of a 2105 with all the latest technology, but on a 16 inch chassis. A basic 2100 type reissue might not be a bad idea either, built on a 275 chassis to save money.

Maybe an updated C28 or 29 on a 16" chassis or a reissue of the C-40 with all its flexibility with updated remote controls and components..

How about a C1000 or 500 with tone controls.

New products could include a room EQ similar to accuphase with calibrated mic so you could draw in curves you want, and have Room perfect or Audessey as an additional plug in card if you wished. Have multiple memories to store preferred setting and more for each input when selected on existing pre-amps using the data circuits.

How about variable pitch on a 3 speed turn table turntable with a straight line tracking tone arm with a sandwiched metal platter with accessories for controlling record deformation al la VPI. How about being made in the USA. !!!!!! Instead of Germany.

Updated reissue of a MC3500 rated at 500 watts, Quad balanced, with Power Guard including 1 and 2 ohm taps. With quiet cooling fans to allow continuous long term operation.

Use the MEN220 and create custom curves. The C1000/500 are purist designs, back when Tone controls were boo'd. There is nothing left but pure music with those two pre-amps.
