Destroyed Technics SU-Z600 faceplate

I can echo the experience of the people above. I bought a Technics SU-Z600 from Shopgoodwill and it was severely damaged in shipping. Shopgoodwill gave me a full refund. Later I found another one on eBay that was damaged but in a different way. Both had damage on the plastic front panel. I combined the two and now have one in perfect shape. And it sounds really good. Very clear and detailed.

Bottom line: A wonderful amplifier that is very fragile.
 
Mmmm that SVI goodness…
I just got another MCS 2270A (Z600) today… will unbox later… should be good… seems to be packed in a fairly larger box

I think the New Class A circuit or SVI chip really does sound better. I only have about 15 minutes listening time on my "new" SU-V600 so it may just be my relief at getting a new amplifier going.
