DFW area AK member list

Hello,

I live in Grapevine TX in the DFW area.

I have a SOUNDCRAFTSMEN PM840 that is making a very loud buzzing sound from 1 channel. Does anyone know someone that could repair this AMP? I live in Dallas TX but I am willing to ship it off for repair if necessary.

Thanks,
Phil W

Try Dallas Vintage Audio.

Sounds great, guys! Sofar I count four, anyone else wanna join us? Date, time and place are still yet undecided. My days off are Thurs & Fri, anyone else have one of those days off as well? If we get more, we might have to reserve a group of rooms.

I can bring my Pioneer SX-1980 if anyone would like to see it.
are the guys still meeting these days?

I may have the opportunity to get a small gathering together on this two weeks off work coming up on between Sat, May 13 - Wednesday, May 23 for a select group of people I dont know. Like I said I live in rockwall and my house could accommodate probably 5-6 folks or so comfortably (maybe more). I only work 6 months out of the year on a 2 week on 2 week off schedule but my summer is being whittled away with trip to schlitterbahn for next hitch and off to school for july-august and kids showing up for 6 weeks. I've never had the opportunity to do something like this and not too sure of the etiquette for putting it together. Pretty short notice for folks but If some might be interested, I'm sure I can put a date on the map like a saturday or something (doesn't matter to me as I dont work when home). The only requirements I could think of is concerning drinking, you would need a driver to take you home. period. I also have a sota comet, but few albums and NO record cleaner as of yet. So if anyone would bring them to play, I suggest someone would need to bring a cleaner also. I am currently at work and have limited access to computer as I work nights and sometimes am in field working so If anybody pm's me I might take a day to get back to you. Thanks all!
Emotiva, are yall still getting together these days?

Well, nobody had showed while I lived in Rockwall. I've moved since then and am now in New Braunfels with a completely upgraded system. Trying to get a get together going at the moment in the Austin- New Braunfels- San Antonio area. . As far as the brand Emotiva, I've sold the huge Polk SRS 1.2s and the monoblocks and moved up in sound exponentially.

How was the show?
Pretty good. Small, but a damn good turn out...better than I expected. Can't say there was anything there that made me think unreasonable thoughts, but there was some nice sounding stuff. The Rosso Fiorintinos were probably my favorite...so it's not good that the N American distributor for them lives less than five miles from me. There's another show from a different promoter (that's affiliated with RMAF, I think) planned for the fall.
