Did KLH ever use Peerless cone tweeters?

Hello people!!
I'm just asking, because the cone Alnico tweeter from a KLH 32, looks identical to the McIntosh Alnico cone tweeter, that they sourced from Peerless?
Thanks for any help on this subject!!

I was under the impression that in those days KLH "rolled there own" pretty much exclusively, but don't take that as gospel by any means. I had a pair of 32's here for a while but never peeked behind the fiberglass/wire mesh thing. How 'bout a pic?

Hi Steve, I'd be interested in seeing those tweeters too. Is it the 2.5" version, or 2.25".

Well people:

1. My son has "borrowed" my digital camera......for the last seven months.
2. They are already in a Realistic Nova-4, to replace the POS stock tweeter.
3. They made the Nova's into real nice sounding speakers, since the stock woofers sounded pretty good in their BR enclosure.
4. I'd buy another pair in a heartbeat!
Thanks for all the replies to this post, I appreciate that!!

I doubt the tweeters are the Peerless AlNiCos, but I dunno.
Are there in fact AlNiCo magnets on your KLH tweeters?

I think you just had a pair of KLHs with blown tweeters replaced with peerless tweeters. The father of a friend of mine replaced the tweeters on his KLH 6s with KEF T 27s, so its not unknown.

ARRAY:

Yes....those are the tweeters...except mine are round, not square....but those are the tweeters alright!!
So are they Peerless, or did KLH really make them?
THANKS!!!

They're definetely Peerless and made by same, G-hound. I'd say with near certainty they were a retrofit, or to a much lesser chance, maybe KLH built some of their loudspeakers incorporating the Peerless (as it was a very popular tweeter) while nearing the end run of their line.
