Did Rush do "Since You've Been Gone"?

[crazy-in-az]

I was looking for the lyrics to Rainbow's "Since You've Been Gone", and multiple lyrics websites say that Rush did a cover of this song.
Anyone ever hear it? And do you know where I could?:tresbon:

I havent heard Rush do it. Not sure is it the same version Head East does?

According to different lyrics websites Rainbow, Rush and Head East all did that song. I've heard Rainbow and Head East's version, but I'm dying to hear Rush.

Just found out it was written and originally performed by Russ Ballard of Argent.

I believe the versions by Rainbow and Head East are titled "Since You Been Gone" not "Since You've Been Gone". I have most of the Rush albums through about 2000, and there no tracks with either title, but it could be on a later album.

It does seem a bit strange though that I only have one album with a track titled "Since You've been Gone", it's Live Sentence by Alcatrazz.

Edit: I do admit that I only have one Argent album, a greatest hits compilation.

I checked Allmusic and I did not see that song listed on there for Rush.

You're right about the title. But I've checked the lyrics and they are the same song.

I've just looked through all their songs on every album I could find. It's just not there :scratch2:

I have all their albums...not there.

According to the "Covers Project" Rush never covered Since You've Been Gone...

[RichPA]

If Rush covered it, All Music Guide doesn't know about it.

Okay, I guess it's not true. I think they'd do a good job though! Thanks a lot guys:thmbsp:
