I cannot think of a reason it would not work, particularly for one motor. If two, the motors would have to be synchronized *exactly* or they will fight each other.
I use a very similar motor for my RCM, but 12v and 18RPM (or something like that). It is hooked directly to a hockey puck which serves as my "platter" (with the underside of the record floating in space - a design preference on my part). I run mine on lower voltage and I get about 6-8RPM, I think. I like that better, though now that I have cleaned a lot of records I have considered trying it a little bit faster to see if the results are satisfactory.
