Great question.
The 330A and 330B are very similar designs, just the 330B is a tiny bit more modern (I.e. slightly better devices), so I’d choose the B (make sure it is B-1) over the 330A for sound character and longevity.
The 330C is a similar idea, but it uses a direct-coupled output instead of the capacitor-coupled output of the 330A/B. Cap-coupled will be “warmer” or more “tube like”. All are about 20 to 22 wpc, similar features, similar FM and PHONO performance.
Want Modern, clean, uncolored (I.e. neutral) sound? Choose the 330C.
Want warmer sound? Choose the 330B B-1.
Either way, recap it… and seriously consider updating the little transistors.
Good luck!
