Exactly. There are fast food joints, dollar stores, farm work jobs...you name it. My oldest son, who turned 23 this year, finally figured out life doesn't owe him a free ride and that relatives aren't going to put up with him freeloading. He got a job on the farm and loves it. I understand when someone can't work, but in that case, you need to try for your disability as I'm doing. If our OP can find time to post on here and work on audio equipment, he could find time to look for a job.Anyone that really wants to work, will find work within days. Anyone that doesn't really want to work will find excuses as to why they can't find a job.
This situation probably has nothing to do with electricity. It's about you!! Your parents have done their job by raising you. Now it's time for you to leave. Become a son they can be proud of, not that is content living off the fatted calf and living in the basement. Grow up, be a man who can take care of himself and GTFO. Your parents apparently love you, but are tired of you hanging around being a bum.
The best thing they could do for you is give you 6 weeks notice and then have you removed from the house. Fly baby bird, fly. They owe you nothing.
He(the OP), claims to have physical medical issues, thus thwarting employment capabilities.
Just saying, and not defending, by any means.
Yes, I was aware of that. But listening to him, all of his physical problems are self inflicted and he wants to put the blame on his mom and the doctors. He has chosen the victim role in life. He says he can stand for 1-2 hours. That is something he can build on just by getting out and walking. Inactivity is likely a major contributor to his problems IMO. But the ball is in his court and until he decides to work towards the solution instead of wallowing in his problems, nothing will change, other than his abilities will decline.
