The plastic "glass" face plate is held onto the aluminum face with some really old weak glue..I ran an exacto knife around the perimeter to cut through the glue then laid it face down on a table and slowly pushed the face plate away from the plastic. Clean it up, put it into the new face plate and hit the perimeter with a bit of hot glue every few inches to keep it from falling out.. The black face plates look really nice with the dark plastic and silver knobs.
