Does anyone recognize this odd sound?

Just sounds like a poorly mastered recording where there have been to many generations of dubbing and oner dubbing. But if the noise is confirmed to be coming from the amp it could be any thing noisy controls, circuit board plug in connectors to noisy transistors or bad caps. I have never had that kind of noise from input RCA, Phone or XLR connectors. One of my Crown EQ'2's was doing something similar on one channel. It turned out to be a dirty treble tone control . I was thankful.. The special low noise IC's aren't available anymore.

Oh, I was just wondering if reversing the speaker cables confirmed the noise moved to the other side.
 
At first it sounds like FM noise over a broadcast with a weak signal. But it sounds like the noise is happening or triggered by transients or impact sounds, like the attack of the note causing the trailing noise. It sounds different to me from the noise that toddalin describes. Also, what is the water sounds in the background? Is that in the recording?

Since you narrowed the source of the noise in the amp, anyone here can explain what in the amp will respond with ringing noise? My thought is something with high frequency damping in the circuit. Bad coupling or bypass caps?
 
It’s not near a WiFi router or computer modem is it? I’ve had the strangest effects happen on all kinds of audio gear because of those things.

No it's not. But thanks for the input. The amp is currently with the tech and will be back any day now still not sure what the issue is but he said it's fixed.
 
When this thread started, I was going to say it's the sound a female Silver-Winged Grosbeak makes during mating season but I wasn't sure it was the Silver-Winged Grosbeak or Gold-Winged Grosbeak so I remained silent.

Were you able to recreate that sound while it was at the tech? In other words, did the tech hear it as well?
