Does anyone rotate through turntables

Right now, I have more turntables than I need, but the pack rat in me really doesn't want to get rid of any.

I have a Technics SL-D2 and a Technics SL-QX300 that I have set up and running.

Sittig off to the side, I have a Technics SL-QL1, a Realistic LAB 440, and a Dual 1257.

I'm wondering if anybody has a bunch of turntables and rotates between them on a regular basis?

That said I have half a dozen tables including Kenwood, AR, Thorens, and Mitsubishi. The little AR XA was my main deck for a couple of decades, during that time I picked up the Thorens thinking it would better the AR, it didn't so was relegated to the bedroom system.

Picked up a Kenwood KD500/Gace G707 and the little table that could had finally met it's match. This led me to the Kenwood KD770D, another step up the ladder, an endgame table for many.

The Mitsubishi DP-EC8 was picked up for its automatic features but turned out to be quite a nice deck with a Pickering XV15 1200E installed.

Also picked up a pristine like new Technics SL1200MKII for a young friend, had it here for a few months after getting it set up before Cooper picked it up. Built like a tank it's hard to break, great deck for someone new to the hobby.

I have five turntables set up in three separate stereos. I use whichever rig is in the appropriate room at the time. I also have a spare TT that needs to be set up with another rig once we move to a new house. I’m not sure if that counts as “rotating “, but that’s how it is at my place.
 
I've been living with two for the last year and will be using three in the near future.
I like to set them up with dissimilar cartridges so they don't sound alike (apart from differences inherent in the decks themselves). For example, right now one deck has a LOMC cart, the other has an MM with a microline stylus (I prefer the latter, by the way).
The third deck will likely have a cartridge known for excellent mids and wide soundstage but a softer sound than the other two.
I'll put ten hours or so on each deck, then rotate. Saves wear and tear on the styli, too.
 
I rotate tables since the KD-600 hinges are not in peril of failure anymore, but the same tonearm (well different serial number) is on the Belt drive and the Direct drive. Finally rotated to the KD being the main instead of the spare. Oh, then there is the one plugged into the MM phono input. Would be mine but my brother's table is here and I like it. Gotta have an automatic of some kind even if it just stops at the end of play.

The third TT going into rotation here will be a KD-2055. It just needs cleaned up some, but everything works.

With more than double digit tables from TD124's to Sota to Technics to B&O to Kardon to Elac to Mitsubishi to ROK to Neat... well you get it. Keep them all in rotation at least a week a year to keep them fresh. Some I never touch and always have connected. A Fairchild 412 with SME 3009 II Unimproved and SPU never comes out. Empire 598 II never comes out. Guess I like TT's and vinyl. ;)

I am / was a turntable Slut. Probably twenty on one shelf, another 10-15 covered in the garage. I wouldn’t be surprised if I have over 60 working tables that need to get more use than I have time.
This is way down from when I was deep into the addiction.
I’m recovering though, and my goal is to sell a minimum of one a month... same with amps.
 
Hell, we also rotate speakers. For instance one pair is used for acoustic music along with the appropriate deck, another pair for songs with vocals with matching deck/cartridge. etc., etc. It take a special cartridge to do it all and when I figure out which one that is it will go on our best deck. I've just about go this nailed down. The swap may happen today.

I'm outta room. I keep some under the bed where they share room with full range drivers. Out of sight, outta mind.
