Domus, Two

[opossumcrush]

I picked up these Domus, Two speakers today at an auction. I have never heard of this brand before. They look very Klipsch, Kg 4, like. Anybody familiar with this brand of speaker? They don't sound to bad, decent construction.

Domus was a house brand of Schaak Electronics, a medium-sized chain of stores that originated in the Minneapolis area. Similar in quality to their "DLK" line, Schaak's later Domus speakers were also very well built, and used good quality poly cone drivers. I remember the Domus 2's - a 2-way (10"?) model with a passive radiator, and there was also a Domus 3, a 3-way with 12" woofer. Very nice speakers! :thmbsp:

Cannot really see the horn well enough to tell fo' sho', but it looks like it might be a piezoelectric driver. That's not necessarily a bad thing... but it could be...
