Don's updated listening space

Finally decided it was time to get my listening space in order. Started by adding two dedicated 20amp circuits and some recessed lighting as well. Follow that with some paint, trim, and a new Adona audio rack and I've got a space I can enjoy from both an audio and visual standpoint.

Wow, well done! It looks much better, how does it sound?

Sounds pretty good, playing with speaker placement right now and I'm slowly backing the speakers up a little at a time as the bass seems a little thin. Of course most of the change is just visual except for the audio rack. It was a splurge but I was always bothered by how easily the needle would skip with the slightest bump when using the Salamander rack. The Adona rack is a tank, 162 lbs with the shelves in place, and now I can give it a good whack and the music plays on :music:

Looks great, I like it. I have yet to hear the newer Luxman stuff. I'm pretty sure I'd sell most of my stuff to get into it. I bet it sounds great!

Decided to try a different speaker. The Harbeth 7ES3's, while a great speaker never seemed to work just as I had hoped in my space so they are now in a new home. In their place a pair of Reference 3A Dulcets. What I like about the 3A's is the main driver runs full range and gives lots of detail. Reminds me of what I liked about my DIY back loaded horns I once had. What I felt the horns lacked, sparkle and bass the 3A's do much better. Yes I said bass  I'm amazed at the bass these produce, pretty impressive. I'm still playing around a bit with placement but first impressions are putting a smile on my face :D
