Dual 1019 Headshell Connector Plate

I recently picked up a Dual 1019 and discovered the tonearm wiring was a mess. As I was in the process of replacing the wiring, I uncovered this connector plate which looks as if someone had previously worked on it. I was not able to find a replacement part online and was hoping someone could tell me where I can obtain one or what are other possible options.

You will probably have to buy the whole carrier which locks into the metal headshell attached to the arm tube.

Oops, or are you talking about the contact board mounted in the tonearm? It's been a long time since I have looked at mine. In that case, I don't know where to get one.

Yep, it is a plastic contact plate that snaps into the underside of the headshell which the tonearm wiring is soldered to. I'm guessing my only option is to find a tonearm hoping the contact plate is attached and in good condition or find someone parting out a table. I'm surprised someone hasn't come up with a replacement part for it, looks like it could be done with a 3D printer.
 
As long as you don't plan on swapping cartridges often, you could just direct wire your new tonearm wire to the cartridge.

You may be able to salvage what you have with some careful desoldering.
 
That plate is not dead. The opportunity to use metal polish to remove the black oxide is made very easy now that it has been removed. It will look new. Re tension the springs by prying them gently and make them even and evenly spaced. You can clean off the solder and resolder new leads.
 
Thought about trying to salvage it but with my luck I'll further deteriorate the plastic. Not sure if I want to go the direct wire route, although the 1019 is a great table not sure if I will keep it long term. I may end up waiting on a part to come up on ebay or elsewhere. Much appreciate the replies!
 
Yeah, I would resolder it. I did that recently on a 1229 and rewired at the same time. I went the direct to cartridge route on another 1229 or 1219 and might revert it, if I can find that plate for it.

you are better man than me. Can’t keep my hand steady enough. Had the circuit board/wire and did my early 1219 rescue 5 years ago. Hands were much steadier. Still using it on my LR set. It was to be a parts unit til I discovered it was an early 1219. First time I saw one.
