Dual 1219 Motor Constantly Running

check which terminals the power cord on your working one goes to. If someone moved the pin from the constant hot to the switched hot side, it will not shut off.

2 problems. In the 1st pic, you show the ground and 2 power wires in the white connector block. The power wires are next to each other - incorrect. Move the inner one next to the ground wire. A wire pick will free it. Looking at it, the sequence is: ground, power, blank (unused) and power. On the actual power block, you have the wires correctly paired up but they are backwards on the mounting pins. Reverse them.

Is there not a connection diagram inside the cover?

Hi Seth, there is a diagram inside the cover but it looks to be burnt, it was like that since I got the 1219.

That wiring doesn't look correct to me - Looks like the switch has been bypassed.
I've seen this before on Duals where previous users have elected to bypass a defective switch rather than address the route cause.

How do I un-bypass the switch?

This is what the cords look like now. The 1219 still won’t shut off no matter what. As soon as I plug it in it turns on.

I'm not specifically familiar with the pinout on these, but most turntables have a 4 pin plug. One is ground to the chassis. One is neutral, direct to one side of the motor. One is hot to the switch, the last is hot direct to the other side of the motor. If you're on the two direct lines, the switch doesn't do anything. You'd have to chase the wiring out. Find the wire that goes from the power plug to the switch and make sure the power cord is on that one. The next pin over will usually have one wire to the switch and one wire to the motor. You don't want that one.

The purpose of that is for consoles. When you put the record on, it turns on the amplifier. Once the record is done, the amp shuts off. Its not needed for stand-alone use.

easy way, if you've got another Dual that works as expected, just look at the plug to see what terminals are being used. If the one that won't shut off is different, borrow the other cord and see if anything changes. If it does, make both cords the same and the problem should be sorted.

Firstly, jeep in mind that the yellow and orange go together on one pin. The black and green on another. Secondly, one motor wire bundle goes on a pin that is directly under a 120 volt wire from the white molex connector. Not including the ground pin, this leaves one more connnection. So, the other 120 volt wire from the molex plug goes into a pin that connects to the switch. Finally, the output from the switch is the pin to access for the other pair of motor wires. I took the pics with my phone, but got distracted. After the bricklayers leave tomorrow, will try to post two pictures that will help. Not to insult, but a very rudimentry understanding of electrical application in simple circuits would help you tremendously.
