Dual 1229 - Drawings for a replacement plinth

Greetings all. Does anyone know where I could obtain drawings/plans for building a plinth for a Dual 1229? I just bought one that suffered massive plinth damage during shipment to me. I was going to repair the damaged plinth, but someone who shares by home with me and who is related to me by marriage strongly believes that I should build a new plinth from scratch. My development has a wood shop for common use, and her thinking is that one of the experienced woodworkers there could help me with the project. Also, I am not 100% sure that the damaged plinth was originally made for the 1229 (it looks crudely made with some homemade bracing added), otherwise I would use it as a template to build a new and better one. So a source for plans or drawings would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Firstly, you will need the cut out pattern for the mounting board. The original one might be available on vinylengine.
Next step is to decide on a design. One that you might like because it would permit the inclusion of a simple dust cover is an Empire Turntable type base as the cover has flat pieces of plastic or glass inserted into slots on a wood frame.

I have a 1219 and a 1229, both in need of either plinths or plinth repair. I've been wanting to build a slab style from granite or "cultured marble". I have the mounting boards and hardware for both. The trick seems to be getting someone to cut the granite at a reasonable cost. "Cultured marble" is far easier to work with but will likely require a double stack, seeing as it normally only comes in 1/2"-5/8" thick.

If you want to save yourself some aggravation, please PM me.

If you go with something like marble then do not remove the suspension springs or the noise you think should be damped out by the heavy base will get louder
The springs are your friend
My plan was to copy the mounting board exactly and move the entire suspension (spring and cup) system over to it. I have yet to see anyone saying that they've done it, so I'm a bit hesitant.
I'm thinking the heavy plinth along with a more " pinpoint" foot, such as speaker spikes, will help isolation. I'm new to the thought process of this, so please bare with me.
