Dual 505 vs. Dual 714Q

I have a Dual 505 and am happy with it. I now have the chance to buy a Dual 714Q and I'm wondering how it compares? Also, if anyone can weigh in on the worth, I'd be interested. I haven't seen it yet, so I don't know what sort of cartridge/stylus it has, but it's supposedly in good working order. Thanks

The belt drive 505 is pretty good but the direct drive 714q is arguably better.

However, it does have an unusual (even for a Dual) headshell arrangement that might limit your choices for cartridges if you don't get all the parts. See if you can find out about the cartridge and ask if any small parts are included.

Matters of dollar value are best reserved for the Dollars and Cents area.
