Dumpster Finds

One could open a business for stereo retirement recycle.
Trouble is you will get a crap load of crap.
I was thinking posting an add on Craigslist will pickup stereo electronics poor speakers, record players and amps and pay a little for the item depending on it's value.
Lot of folks don't go to the thrift to donate, they don't even take them to the curb for trash some times..
The stuff is out there and a lot of it.

Just about every pair of speakers I see in thrifts have no foam remaining, or are cheap Sony plastic cab speakers.
I cannot tell you how many great speakers and lots more. I have probably found five or six great fairly recent vintage receivers with up to 5 HDMI inputs and they have all worked really well too I found some phono Step Up amplifiers and lots of other cool stuff. I live in a very affluent area, Annapolis Maryland and there are lots of Goodwills so I've been very lucky with my finds over the years. I have gotten over the years. Lots of great vintage bows, although I know a lot of people don't like them but they still sounded great and I've given them all away. I have found three pairs of Polk SDA of various models, the older ones from the early 80s, I have found Klipsch, Mirage, and lots more. I have tried to post pictures and every time it looks like I've posted them they do not show up in the post. No idea what I am doing wrong.

To post images, just click & drag into the box you're typing in.
Put the cursor below your last line of text, then drag your images in, up to 10 at a time max.

Are your pics showing down at the bottom of your posts as thumbnails? You should be able to select Thumbnail or Full Size.

Are you dragging and dropping or using the "upload a file" button?

There used to be a size limit but I believe AK now automatically resizes photos if they are too big.

Here in NY, several people post ad$$s in CL wanting old stereo gear.

I am getting some hits but again most are junk stuff.
One guy wanted to unload a bunch of speakers.
I asked how many he says a bunch then follows with i repaired some and how much am i willing to pay for the value of the pile.
I was like not gonna happen this guy want's to get rich off his refuse.
Another has a pair of 501 series 2 one doesn't work, I'm not keen on Bose speakers but i will go look Thursday.
I may be onto something time will tell.
