Nice job. Never opened or touched my a50's although I think I did resolder (very carefully) the loose wire on one voice coil tweeter that was intermittent. My cabinets suffered damage on the corners and front edge and grill cloths were gone including the frame. I filled in the damaged areas with plastic wood and matched the color as best as I could with furniture touchup markers. Made a frame and used black speaker cloth I had available from another project. I am happy with they sound. Probably would improve with new caps. I have the literature for these and stereo review writeup. amazing speakers. Also have a pair of dynacoa25 also untouched, but original speaker cloth.

In my case, wasn't able to give them a fair listen (at all) in their original state as one of the tweeters was blown. After the re-cap they sound excellent. The A50s are elevated approx 12" above the floor on stands. The speakers do have bass but certainly not boomy. However, it's worth mentioning that it is dependent on the recording. Rock, classical, jazz, vocal and acoustical instruments have all sounded well to these ears but there is a struggle on critical listening by me.
The A50s love power. They brighten up and develop a rich fullness with gain. My CJ Sonographe amp and PV-6 drive them with little effort. Very pleased thus far.

I drive them with luxman r-117. It is 160 watts per channel. Plenty of power for them. The review of these speakers claim you listen to the music not the speakers. They don't have listener fatigue. I agree that they sound good with all genres. Wife agrees. When I brought them home with no grills, damage to the cabinet and swapped them out with a pair of kefs, she said to leave them there.

I rarely see a50's go on sale. Maybe not many made as the a25? Or no one gets rid of theirs.

I have seen a few on eBay. None locally. Probably pretty rare. I would guess that I see 30 or more pairs of A25s on sale for each pair of 50s.

Did your A50s have the small, brass, Dynaco badges in the bottom left corners? Ordered a pair some time ago and was looking to attach them to the grill. Not certain if the A50s came with the badge or not given the images I've seen...

Your A50 badges were most likely missing.

My grill cloth and frame for them was missing. Made a frame out of pressboard and had black grill cloth to use on them. Cabinets were damaged in spots, but drivers were fine. I should one day fix the cabinets. As they are in my basement setup, that doesn't bother me.

There is a pair on ebay now for $500 bin or best offer and pickup or ship. Hard to tell, but looks like there are badges on them. My dynacoa25 have stick on badges. Are they supposed to screw on like my klh six?

Great question!
Upon securing my A25s, I noticed a small hole in the grill fabric (on both speakers/bottom left side) that went straight thru to the baffle. Both logos were missing and to me, were the screw in types. I replaced my A25 badges with the screw in types as it seemed to be a no-brainer on what was there prior.
The A50s were another matter. On them, one of the speaker grills was a completely different material (dried out mustard colored burlap) while the other was the original Dynaco cloth. It did not have a hole going through the grill cloth and there was nothing (no screw hole) on the baffle side. I ordered the non-screw types for these and will use Ailene's tacky glue to secure the badges.
Did you ever happen to get fabric for these? I hope this isn't considered to be an advertisement or a violation, but I do sell replacement fabric on ebay that is very close to the original Dynaco fabric. The thread count and density is identical, and the slub spacing very near to the original.
Additionally, what I have done for the dynaco badges is ordered the adhesive backed ones from one of the sellers on ebay, and glued them to flat faced stud earing blanks that I got from the craft store. The earings work perfectly to allow rotating the badges, and do not cause any damage to the fabric, since they slide between threads. I'll try to post a picture when I get home, if I remember

That earing idea is amazing! I will try this with the grill cloth that I installed already. Always learning something new here on AK. Please post a pic of the earing mod.
The cloth I ordered was suggested here on AK. It's from Anne George's fabric treasury. Came slow boat from India. The slubs are not highly visible as the originals but the thread count was identical. It's really hard to judge and put into perspective the original coloring of the stock cloth. However, I tried to get as close as possible. Will post a pic soon.

*Not trying to be critical here* Just making an observation.
When looking at the cloth in the right pic above. The slubs look as if they are in a 'glistening star' or hypocycloid shape in random areas. While the original cloth slubs look 'square-ish or boxy. I wanted to capture the square look without too much stretch in the fabric.

No worries, I do agree that there is a bit more of a "star" pattern in my fabric than the original. In my searches for an appropriate fabric, I found that while others had a more similar pattern, they would always have some other detrimental element, such as too dense, too large of strands, incorrect slub size, etc. I did try at least a few of the fabrics in the thread you linked, coincidentally, and preferred the fabric that I use now. In the end, it is most important that the owner of the speakers is satisfied with whatever fabric they choose, and because of that, I am glad that you are happy with yours! The purpose of this hobby is to enjoy the gear and the music
