Dynaco FM-3 tuner for $80 - fair price?

Mine sold for around $50 on the auction site. $80 is a premium price unless fully rebuilt.

I would think that is a good price if it works well with no known or audible problems.

Does a tube tuner like this one lose something when matched with a solid state amp/receiver rather than a tube amp?
Or does not make any difference?

Clean working FM3's have been hitting the $100 mark pretty consistently lately on the auction site, however that unit doesn't look particularly clean. I'd offer less but I don't think $80 is horribly off-base if it works 100%.

As far as tube/SS amp, it'll sound good on either. The FM3 is a nice little unit, but expect to do some updating (caps and PEC modules) for it to perform at its best.
