Hello.
Recently i bought a Dynaco PAT-4 preamplifier. It needs a lot of love. It was complete, frontal panel in mint condition, but teh cover and the back will need a lot of love.
I decided to restore it. I am not technician in this arts (i just learned to solder....). A few time ago a good men at Updatemydynaco.com send me the pair of knobs the unit came without. Well i have no tested yet, it was sold to me untested. I decide to replace the RCA conectors in the back, all of them was stained. I remove one by one from the baquelite board and replace only the external contact. Hard job. Photo attached
The photo shows the replacement process. The brilliant RCAs are the new. The other are the unit come with. It was for vanity, i have to admit. For now, my dynaco pat-4 is protected by a shoe box... LOL
Well. I am trying to find the specs for the power transformer in order to get one ins case it were necessary. I couldn't find the info. Does anyone knows the technical data for this power transformer?
Al last, i could be interested in replace it with a toroidal transformer, but i'll need the specs to order the manufacture of a transformer or to try to find one which matches.

Good luck with yours! You can download the manual for free at hifiengine.com. since these were kits its an assembly manual. Step by step. Pretty easy when rebuilding one.
