I was riding in a full size Chevy pickup that got attacked by a huge owl. We were slowly driving down a two-track trail after dark. All of the sudden the owl descended out of the darkness and into the light of the headlamps, wings spread and talons out. It tried to grab the chrome windshield trim at top and center. Freaked us out. The owl got knocked over the cab and landed in the pickup box. After a few seconds it came to and flew away.

If the truck weighed a few pounds less I might be owl scat now. Of course that wouldn't be much different than my present condition but I digress.

When I watched that in German TV tonight, it looked pretty real. Reminds me of the snake in twilight that turned out to be a rope at daylight.

It's all illusion.
