Ebay weird buyer issues

I refuse to sell on ebay. It always turns out to be a pain in the ass from previous experience.

I passed on a set of Adcom Separates yesterday because I do not need the headache. GFA 545, and a matching pre, and tuner. Would have been $100. Then I would have to deal with the morons on CL, or do local Ebay pickup. I am not shipping electronics. Maybe the tuner and the pre.
It's one thing if it's great, it will sell, but lower mid range stuff can be a pain in the ass to flip.

Roving, Thank you for that... that is how I do it... ( well unless it's a flat rate box ) ....
I typically get my weight & dimensions from the Sansui service manuals when I post the add. Sometimes I can't get a box with those spec's or that is heavy duty enough.
( I spend a fair amount of time at FED EX getting cardboard... ) Sirski now has "THAT" BA-2K and is enjoying it.. and I "Think" I will be selling one of my BA-3K's to another member here shortly.....

I once had a guy tell me that "what you see is what you get" He actually expected EVERYTHING in the picture regardless of what the title and description specified what was up for auction. Some people waste way too much air that others can put to better use.

Not only do they want everything in the picture, but for half the price.
Then they show up with $20 in their pocket and get pissed you won't
do the deal.

Ok - my last critique on this thread!

Seller - you need a better title for your item...

"Sansui TU-9900" is too specific, and too vauge at the same time...

You dont even show up in searches for "Sansui Tuner" or "Vintage Sansui Tuner"

Change your item title to:

"Vintage Sansui FM Tuner Model TU-9900"

You will get A LOT more traffic/views.

Currently the only people who will find this are folks who are specifically looking for this model - why cut out so many potential buyers?

Anticipate how people shop/search...

Sorry for the OT posts - but this thread could have just was easily been called "Ebay weird seller issues"

I tend to think a lot of sellers frustrations are simply due to not using the site properly...this one fit that bill.
