Ed Saunders Shure V15LT Stylus?

I buy regularly from VOM and have always had good service and very fair pricing including the freight. I also have bought more than once from ebay seller "needlestore" and have never had a problem.

If AK posted this as a "Sticky" and if Trisha is Ed's designated successor, as he said in the post I linked to, Ed and Trisha would probably be within their rights to sue AK for libel.

As I said before, the whole "Ed Saunders Stylus" thing has struck me as fishy from day one but all I have are suspicions. Really, that's all anyone can have since no conclusive negative factual information has ever come to light. (Some customers not liking the styli doesn't count.)

I seriously doubt that since this is supposedly Ed's own posting...

There are three posts from Saunders in that thread. The one that avionic posted, and that has everyone in a tizzy, was the first. The second post seemed to be saying much the same thing as the first but without the vitriol. The third post, on the other hand, is very different. It states clearly that Saunders has handed the business over to Trisha.

In the space of 47 hours we went from, "I made it abundantly clear that I would not sanction any business using my name and reputation that I was not involved it. So, for the first time since 1974, Ed Saunders products do NOT come with my personal endorsement nor with my personal guarantee." to, "I have retired from the stylus business and turned over full operation, licensing, brand and trade names, etc. to Trisha Horn."

You kinda have to go with the last post as the definitive one simply because it's..... the last post. It makes the previous posts "inoperative" so making a big to-do about the contents of the first post when Saunders basically retracted it 2 days later is pretty dumb.

Back in April , I ordered a "Red Ed" elliptical (ie MG29) based on a review from Audiogon, not knowing it was in fact a MG29 cartridge. I asked some specific information and got a reply from Ed himself. Maybe Trish Horn provided the reply, doesn't matter, I got the results I was looking for. Ordered the cartridge and have been very pleased with the performance. No, it's not up to my Shure M97, but close, I use it mainly to test used records, before a wash bath, and Rock does sound pretty good. Since then, I damaged the stylus and ordered a replacement from Carolesneedles at half the cost. Any way, the whole experience with Ed Saunders and Trisha were positive, for whats it's worth. I know I have deviated from the from the OP's thread a bit, but that's my 2 cents on the subject.
