My Miracord 50H is exhibiting a new problem, and I'm wondering if anyone here has encountered this and knows what might be causing it. I've tried looking through the service manual and I'm not sure I understand what might be the problem, and I haven't seen the same issue posted on AK when trying to search.
The issue is that, on the 7" size selection only, the turntable can't end play. It'll repeat the record side over and over. Doesn't matter if I use the single play spindle, regular changer spindle or 45rpm changer spindle, the behavior is the same.
Likewise, all spindles work properly in 10" and 12" mode. If it's the last or only record on the stack, the player shuts itself off as it should.
The turntable started doing this recently, in the last few weeks. It has me confused because, the way I'm interpreting the service manual, it seems like it should be the same mechanism no matter which record size is selected, but I'm obviously missing something.
