Emotiva USP 1 verses Rotel RC 995 990??

Has anyone ever compared a Emovtiva USP 1 to a Rotel RC 995 or 990 and if so what were your thoughts?? Power would be a Rotel RB 990 or B&K ST 1400 II Thanks

Afraid I don't have any first hand knowledge. I've ordered a preamp myself and did plenty of research and reading up. I'd add the Parasound 2100 into the mix it's said to have a warmer top end than the Emotiva.

I know the Emotiva is good unit but worry that it may be somewhat thin/lean and detail driven like so much gear is today The Rotels are from 20 yeas ago. Not saying the Rotel is super rich or anything
