Opinions on Harman Kardon HK 990 integrated amp

Does anyone have any experience with the HK 990 integrated amp?? Say compared to MF A 3.2 or Yamaha A-S 1000 or even against Rotel or NAD seperates? Thanks

I used to own one. It was very good sounding, but not quite as good as my B1 buffer preamp and Rotel RHB-05 power amp.

I have one. No complaints whatsoever and it sounds great. All of the features are worthwhile too...room correction, built in DAC, 2 tape loops, 2 sub outs. It replaced a NAD 372 integrated and before that an Anthem 200 watt power amp with Rogue tube pre.

I've always wondered why HK came out with the 990 in the first place since they never built up the product line. One integrated amp for, what, 2 years? It seems like pretty bad market strategy. Build it and they will come rarely works.
