That’s very cool to see. I like the loading being listed. 300 pF. I often want to say just this ^ 300 pF
when people ask about various unknown Empires. Thanks for sharing! It’s like a time capsule.
Don’t know how to reply to those comments about loading for Empires because what works for my system might not be what works for theirs.

The ES 1000LT's maker isn't known for sure, but there is/was an Excel version called ES-P300 (below right), though that was an induced-magnet job.
Irrelevant Footnote: Notice that the metal body shell is the same as the Sumiko Oyster? Whoever made that likely made this series of p-mounts. Hint: the Oyster is, visually at least, a clone of Excel's ME-45, though that's not proof Excel designed/made it.

My mistake then, I suppose I assumed (shame on me) it was Azden due to the hole for a magnet in the body above the grip and general design. There isn't a magnet in mine. Re: Sumiko, I only have experience with the Talisman & BPS, the rest are a complete mystery. Thanks Walt!
Azden certainly-and-for-sure made cartridges for Empire to slap their name on, so yours was a good guess. Heck, we could find out tomorrow that Azden did make the ES 1000LT and its siblings. My question has always been why did Empire choose to go moving-magnet at that point rather than stay with moving-iron, which as we know was available to them. That said, the S485 stylus was/is great.
But keeping with the inductance/resistance theme, the Oyster body had roughly half the inductance of the ES 1000LT body, so if you want to play your Empire stylus in an Oyster in a standard-mount 'table, you'll get some extra sparkle. If you don't dig sparkle, use a Sanyo MG-10J or the Audio-Technica AT952.

I have got one of those. And, I think, an update to it.
Thanks for the photos. That's how the later production S912E stylus with the diasa mount looks. Dark diamond cone atop a short corundum (okay, call it sapphire) cylinder with no metal bushing. Sometimes, as we've seen, it's hard to determine whether the diamond is on a translucent base or in a metal bushing, especially in photos, and especially if the sapphire base is short. The giveaway is of course getting a look at the stylus against the light (see, for example, the side view photo in jimreeves's post two doors down).
