Epicure 20 vs Genesis Model II?

Count me in the GII(+) fan club. Had mine since like 1979/80 and I still love 'em. I've recently been having fun with some OLAs and Smaller Advents, but I still prefer the II+s overall. Though I will admit the Advents look a lot better (except the Smallers).

I still have the first pair of 'real' speakers that I bought in '78, NLAs. They sounded great with the Dynakit IIIs I had, but with SS gear the HF is too harsh to my ears. The inverted tweeter on the G2s sound much smoother to me.

im in the process of refoaming a set of Genesis model 210s, very similar to model 2 except the tweeter is on top, driver below it and the passive is on the bottom.
I haven't recapped them and I probably wont until I can have a listen to them.

I agree totally. I have had a pair of G-II's for years, they go the deepest, sound the least fatiguing of any I have tried so far. I do need to re-cap the X-over at some time but they still sound sweet. For a garage sale price place a repair/ exchange deal with the folks at Human Speakers I am set for a long time. Enjoy them, they would be difficult to dislodge from my set up.
