Epicure EPI 1000 Speaker

That's wonderful. But after reading back over the post to see if I missed something, I just wasn't sure where the M400's fit into with what he had since they used smaller woofers.

yes, these and the M400 are essentially completely different. The M400 use a 6.5" woofer, the M1000 use the quintessential 8" woofer. Basic design premise essentially the same.

Lore states that Win Burhoe would give a set of these speakers away to anyone who could carry them out of the factory unassisted.

He'd have lost that particular bet. Having bearhugged my EV Sentry VI's and hauled them up steps, I somehow would have found the strength.

I'd keep that cabinet intact. Post on the Bartertown Orphan Speaker Bingo thread. You never know.

How in the world does ONE M1000 tower end up in the wild like that? I'd love to hear the story behind this but we'll probably never know.

I’m
I acquired a pair a few years ago from the original owner. They’re in pretty good shape, although they need new baffles, and I’m missing one grille panel. What are these babies worth? I’ve got renewed enthusiasm because I just got them out of storage today.

I’ve been lugging mine by myself from storage unit to storage unit. Today, I’m finally taking them to my shop to begin the restoration process.
