epicure model 5's

does anyone have any info on epicure model 5 speakers?. good,bad or indifferent lol. i can't seem to find any info on them. thanks inadvance.

I have the Model 4's and LOVE them!

I have the later model 5's and will take them with me when i go to the great stereo store in the sky. I love them and use them as computer speakers attached to an old Sanyo integrated. I refinished them with tung oil and they look really sweet.

The little Model 5s (same as the EPI 50s, only classier) are among the best small speakers out there. I often think Burhoe tried to fill TOO many niches.

EPI 50, 100, 150, 200 was all he ever needed.

I had some Epicure 2.0's and I only mention this because I truly miss them. If you were in a room with these and closed your eyes I don't think you could tell where they were, I'd pay a lot for another pair.

I wish the Epicure 1.0, 2.0 and especially the 3.0 were common fodder on the used circuit. The 3.0 is one of three speakers that have made a permanent impression on first hearing. The others were a single Quad 57 and a pair of Magneplanars.

The Epicure 5 is a nice small speaker, it would replace something in my house if I found a pair of the early ones.

jjjimmy i have the second ones you listed. they sound pretty good on the pioneer sx-950 i just got.

I just had some Epicure Model 4 speakers refoamed and recapped. They look and sound great.
