ESS SuperQuads - I just scored some holy grail speakers/amps

Very old thread, but it contains one piece of bad information. The Quad treble panels could only handle 50 Watts max. Even transient peaks could burn holes in the diaphragm.

I had a dozen Quad 57's at one time, and learned from bad experience.
 
Reviving old thread. I have procured my own pair of ESS SuperQuads to pair with the "Woofer Towers" that I acquired two years ago.

I have two pairs of Transtatics, a first-gen Transar system, and my late father's pair of AMT Monitors, the speakers that got me into all of this.
