Experiences dealing with LP Gear

No Problems

I haven't had any problems with LP Gear either... seem like all of my issues are with Erse Audio when I order replacement caps and resistors. Everytime there has been some type of issue that screws the order up on their end. They do communicate back but... every single time it's been something... Just get tired of it after awhile, especially when there are so many other options available (for the most part). But, sometimes you just want that exact uF replacement and... you deal with it.

Thanks all for your input.
I finally got a reply that my order will be shipped by USPS priority mail by the end of business day. I will keep you posted.

I received my belt today from LP Gear and it is the correct size and appears to be a proper replacement. All's well that ends well, I suppose.

The thing to keep in mind with many of these turntable-only internet shops is that they're a cottage industry. Most are run by people who have a day job. How'd you like to come home every night from work...even the bad days...and fill orders? Sometimes I imagine it's just not in them...and dealing with some whiny pain in the ass obsessing over a cartridge or belt that's a few days late doesn't do anything to endear their hearts to their customers.

I know the golden rules about customer service. I'm just saying...walk a mile in their shoes, and have a little patience.

LPGear and LPTunes, one and the same, are at the top of online audio retailers.

I've never had a problem with an order on their end and they always answer my emails within 48 hours.

In fact I did have a problem with an order, I had a cartridge that showed significantly more output in one channel than the other. I varified this with test equipment, mm and oscilloscope and emailed LPGear. The answer was send it back immediately for credit or exchange. They paid for shipping on the replacement.

Well,

Speaking as someone who has to deal with customers all day myself. I can tell you that you still have to communicate and deal with customers even when you've had a "bad day". That's part of running a business.

Communication and response are the key to satisfying your customers. I posted that LP Gear told me the order was to ship via USPS priority mail on 1/25.

We will see what happens. I did notice that the pending charge from LP Gear disappeared off my credit card a day after their reply. hmmmmmmm......

Well Folks,

It looks like I have to eat my words.
LP Gear delivered the merchandise, I installed the new vivid belt on my DP-300F and it seems to be a "substantial" belt than the one supplied by the factory.

Thanks

I have never had issues with any of the online or e-Bay vendors re turntable items I've used worth mentioning, including the guys in Henderson by what-ever name.
