Exploring Turntable Mats

I tried many DIY mats from cork to acrylic to shelf liner. The one I'm using now is an Armstrong flooring tile (has wood particles in it) cut to fit my Thorens platter with a felt mat on top of it. This combo sounds amazing, velvety black background.

Here's the Armstrong floor tile I used, highly recommended.

I used an electric rotary tool to cut it.

I like my Rega mat so far. There is another I will checkout soon, goes for around $60.
