I'd like to encourage everyone who's coming to put a link to this post in their signature line - spread the word.

We as usual, need to be careful about parking - we don't want to use the lot across the street but we can park in front (as usual) and there is a lot around back on Parker Street (see map).

We'll start around 11AM and go until around 5-6 PM.

These events run smoothly with people taking more responsibility for bringing food and cleaning up afterwards.
Let's keep that up!

The swap / sell / freebie tables will be a given as usual and people can bring their favorite toys and systems to set up.
No charges or fees for anyone to buy, sell, or display - we do it for the love. :banana:.

As usual, we're not sure at this time what space will be available to us - I'll try to give Frank a call or he can post here as the time approaches.

Just take your unsold treasure home with you, don't load up Frank's dumpster.

Please spread the word to anyone and everyone in the New England area to attend - AK involvement isn't a requirement, although typically a given.

All that is required is an obsessive interest in all things audio - that's our common bond.

As per AK rules, please don't post your for sale items here - I'll create a separate thread on Barter Town for the use of our subscribers.

Dear AK friends,
Today I will miss the first fest since I found out about the meets years ago.
Complications from a recent medical procedure gone wrong have exhausted me.
I look forward to seeing some of you next week and I look forward even more to the Winterfest.

Hi all. I was planning to be there today with Don if he was up to it. As you read from his post this morning, he's had a rough week and he wisely although regretfully decided not to attend today. Thanks all for attending and for a fun time (as usual).

For the next event I'd like to put together some simple workshops for us.
I'm thinking about things like soldering, making cables and maybe another comparison like I've done in the past.

While the selling and trading of gear is always fun, much of that can be done on BT and craigslist - not that it isn't fun to see what people have to offer and buy at the GTG.

The big thing is, and always will be the meeting up with old (and new) friends and talking about the obsessive world we populate.

And of course, a big thank you to Frank for his making these events possible!!

The next Event will be Saturday February 27th, 2016.
 
It was a great day! Audrey and I had a blast. Frank, she liked the BIG Altecs and thought the bottom section was a dog bed.
 
A great day and a great meetup. There were definitely some new faces, and probably a few who I thought were new and just forgot. Thanks as usual to Frank, Jim, and associates for throwing the party. I get the feeling I left just as things were picking up. Missed out on the grilled meats.

Now I can finally enjoy "Music Inspired by Lord of the Rings."
 
Unfortunately, I wasn't able to make it to the meet due to things running late while trying to get out from NEAR-Fest. :( Wish I could've made it; I bet it was a fun time for all. Hopefully, I'll be able to make the next one, and perhaps I'll bring along the Farfisa for those who wanted to see it... :naughty: :p :crazy:
 
I am from Maine. This was my first trip down there. It was nice to meet, talk and share information with like minded folks. I will try to make the winter event but that time of year Florida is my preference.

It was my first GTG and it was allot of fun. Thanks to Frank for putting this on and to all who made it a success. I saw some super gear and talked audio all day and loved it. Great time indeed...:beerchug:

By the way- who asked me about the "nipple" Allison tweeters? I was told in conversation today a friend may have some- possibly even unused. If this pans out, I want to be sure I connect with you.
 
A bit of a hit & run for me yesterday but very nice to see everyone and pick up a little vinyl along the way. As always, Frank, thank you for the hospitality and Jim, big thanks to you and others for arranging the details. Finally, Don, you were missed!
