Getting ready for 2023 drafts. We lost 2 team owners this year. One wanted to change the time between picks to 2minutes or less. We have been doing a slow draft in the bestball league with 2hrs between picks. We have 240 picks and even 2 monutes can take a while, but you have to pay attention and be close to your phone or PC to make your pick. We voted and he was the only one that wanted the short time draft. He left a few days later. The other moved out of town and no longer practical.
My regular re-draft league is at 10 owners. I like 10 team leagues. There are more players on waivers
I don’t go in to a draft with much of a plan. I take the best player available usually and then develop a strategy. If I pick a Wr in the 1st rd and a top tier wr is available at my 2nd pick, that’s who I am picking. I’m not forcing my picks to fill the roster. I know guys in my league that look for a top RB then a top Wr, etc. Last year we had 12 teams and 10 of them draft 2 or more QB’s. I grabbed Russell Wilson and thought I did good. Then I struggled at QB for 5 weeks. I hate drafting a QB early, but may have to consider it.
