I know that Expedit seems to be the way to go for many. But having no Ikea close by, and shipping being absolutely ridiculous, I searched elsewhere.

From Target, about 10 minutes away. Easy to set up, very sturdy, and a nice color. I have a friend with an Expedit 4x2, and this is at least as strong/sturdy.

It's a "Target Home" piece. Supposedly for use with other Target Home items such as the Target Home milk crates and baskets.

The box simply said "6-Cube Horizontal organizer"

$85.00 including tax. Not bad at all. And for those with no Ikea nearby. This is a bargain. And as I said above. Once put together, surprisingly strong and sturdy. I particularly like the 'feet' along the bottom of each side.

I have the same problem. Closest Ikea is Minneapolis. Bought something similar to a 2x2 Expedit from a local furniture store from Sauder. When I went back to get another turns out they were discontinued. Needed the extra length for components. May have to look at that. Should prob just build a rack but that seems like a nice alternative. Thanks for sharing.

That's good news! I've almost filled up my Expedit so it's nice to know I can get one of these pretty much right down the street.

This isn't just ridiculous, it's flat out highway robbery! It also explains why we have none of their products in out house, despite the fact that we wouldn't mind having some of them. Even if you make arrangements to get a truck to pick up larger items, they won't even hold the piece for you at a local store - no reservations is what they told us.

Interesting business model, to be sure.:scratch2:
